Rose Gold iPhone Popular Among Pre-Order Consumers

The pink (ahem, we mean rose gold) iPhone 6s is proving to be something of a hit among consumers with the device making up the majority of pre-order units. Much like the gold iPhone 5s launched two years ago, many people thought the color option simply wouldn't look good or appeal to consumers. However, Apple proved us all wrong twice is seems.

BlackBerry Confirms Priv name for Android Smartphone

Yesterday the official name of the BlackBerry Venice, the company's first device to run the Android platform, leaks as the oddly title Priv. That led to predictions that BlackBerry would ditch its BB10 platform and go completely to Google's Android, something we disagree with. Today CEO John Chen revealed the Priv is indeed real and even hinted that the claims of no new BB10 devices could be true.

Samsung Continues to Lead Smartphone Market

Market analyst Counterpoint Researcher has revealed smartphone sales figures for the second quarter, revealing that Samsung remains atop the market. That's hardly a surprise considering the Korean giant has dominated the market for several years and still sells more different models than any other brand. It is also not a surprise to see Apple in second place, but the fight for third place remains as heated as ever.
