Instagram reaches 100 million user milestone, 3X number of users reported a year ago

Instagram, the popular photo-sharing service Facebook acquired for $1 billion last year, has just announced that more than 100 million people access Instagram every month. Despite previous suggestions that the post-Facebook acquisition and a proposed change to its terms and conditions may have led to an exodus of users, Instagram's active audience is more than three times greater than the total number of users reported 10 months ago.
