Today Motorola showed off the CLIQ, its first Android powered smartphone. The CLIQ, which is headed for T-Mobile in the USA, is a social networking focused device with a full QWERTY keyboard and touchscreen display.

Nokia skipping carrier customization for N900 touchscreen smartphone

Nokia plans to skip installing carrier customizations on its N900 touchscreen smartphone, Reuters reports, following the lead of Apple and Google. Some analysts say this could hurt the manufacturer.

Nokia 7705 Twist coming to Verizon Wireless

Today Verizon announced that the new Nokia 7705 Twist would soon be available to its customers. The Twist features an unusual square form factor that swivels open to reveal a QWERTY keyboard.

Verizon launches HTC Touch Pro2 QWERTY smartphone
