BlackBerry and Samsung held several meetings together last year, leading to rumors suggesting Samsung would buyout ailing BlackBerry. However, the Canadian company said it was meeting with Samsung to discuss other, secretive, matters. It is easy to think now that BlackBerry talked to the South Korean market leader about building devices on the Android platform in view of launching the PRIV flagship.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Benchmarked

This is a brand new version in the range, although it is unclear whether this is a replacement for the Galaxy A8 or if it is merely going to become a stable mate for that handset.

Skype Update for Android

Microsoft is currently rolling out Version 6.11 of Skype for Android, an update that brings plenty of new features to the popular app. The upgrade means you can now access the toolbar to delete a conversation or mark it as read. You will also be able to disable notifications from the toolbar, while the search function has been improved to allow specific searches within a conversation.

Sony Launches Xperia Z3+ in United States
