Starwood Hotels is trying to get its guests to test a concept that would do away with room keys or card keys to enter a hotel room. The company instead wants users to unlock the door using their Bluetooth-enabled iPhone or Android device.

FYI: Microsoft Skydrive is now OneDrive

Microsoft has announced that Skydrive - the cloud storage and synchronization service that stores files on PC, mobile apps, and the web - is being rebranded to OneDrive. Microsoft says the renaming is happening because it better communicates that users can store all of their photos, videos, and documents in one place, and it "best represents our vision for the future." The service will continue to operate as is and will not require users to do anything. Microsoft says it will begin transitioning to OneDrive soon.

Sprint 4G LTE comes to Salt Lake City, Colorado Springs, Providence, and 37 other markets

LG confirms 13.2 million smartphones sales and promises to unveil G Pro 2 next month

LG today announced that it will unveil the G Pro 2 at a press event in February, and the Korean manufacturer is surely hoping that its next large phone will add to the momentum of devices released in recent months. LG also chose today to reveal its earnings report for the fourth quarter of 2013, a three-month period that saw the company sell more than 13 million smartphones.
