Posted: 28 Dec 2011 11:23 AM PST

We have been tipped off to some reports that Verizon Wireless' network is having data troubles in various parts of the country - especially for 4G LTE devices. The Verge reports that LTE service is not working in New York City, and we are unable to connect to the network with various devices in Pennsylvania. In upstate New York, however, data services seem to be working, but flaky - connections are continuously failing. This seems to be yet another headache for Verizon and its usually rock-solid wireless network, as this marks at least the third outage of 2011. As with the outages from earlier this year, it seems that voice and text message services are unaffected, so users can still make calls as needed. Still, the speediest network in the world is of no use if you can't reliably connect to it.
