Samsung UK Says Galaxy S3 and Note 2 not getting Android Lollipop

Samsung UK dropped the bomb that we guessed was coming but hoped wouldn't and confirmed that the aging Galaxy Note 2 or the Galaxy Note 3 will be getting Android Lollipop updates. This only cements what we had previously been told when Samsung Gulf claimed its Galaxy Note 2 variant would remain on Android 4.4 KitKat.

LG G Pro 3 Specs Revealed Again

We have talked about the LG G Pro 3 before, the handset is set to make its debut later in the year as a phablet flagship alternative to the company's G4. It actually seems as if the G Pro 3 (or G4 Pro as some suggest) will eclipse its stable mate with blazing market leading specs. @Leaksfly, a noted tipster from China, has reconfirmed some of the specs for the device and even added some new features.

Sony Xperia Z4 Arriving in September

Sony's Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ are both fine devices, although they feel like they are just hold over handsets until Sony roll outs a true 2015 heavyweight later in the year. That new flagship juggernaut will be the Xperia Z5, and a new report now suggests that the handset will be launched in September in Japan and will be accompanied by a whole range.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Benched Again

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 has been something of a failure. Sure, it had found its way into plenty of flagships and will likely land in a few more yet, but those devices have been plagued by overheating problems. While Qualcomm has denied a serious issue, there is evidence there (such as Samsung deciding not to use the 820) and we imagine the company cannot wait to move on from the Snapdragon 810.

Lumia 1030 Dead, Long Live the Lumia 1040?

Last month we discussed the Microsoft Lumia 1030, a sequel to Nokia's camera-centric Lumia 1020 from a couple of years ago. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Receiving Android Lollipop on Verizon

The Galaxy Note Edge is the device that started Samsung's folding screen output and paved the way for the Galaxy S6 Edge.
