HTC Stock Falls to Record Low

Over the last eighteen months, HTC has gone from struggling to recording profit most quarters, but the company has not enjoyed significant growth. Indeed, margins have been slim and one slip would mean a plunge back into the red, something that is now happening. The new One M9 flagship has not been received well and sales are sluggish and HTC is in trouble as a result.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 to be World's Thinnest Tablet

Samsung is known to be making replacements for its Galaxy Tab S range, and here's our first look at the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0. There is also a Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 in the works, but that has yet to be revealed (aside from leaks). The unannounced Tab S2 8.0 was passed through TENAA (China's telecommunications product body), hence why we are seeing a real deal glimpse of it here.

T-Mobile Updating Sony Xperia Z3 to Android 5.0 Lollipop

T-Mobile is finally getting around to updating its Sony Xperia Z3 version to Android 5.0 Lollipop, with the upgrade to start tomorrow (midnight). The fourth largest carrier in the United States has been testing the software since mid-May and is now ready to start pushing it out to Sony Xperia Z3 users around the country.

Huawei Honor 7 to have Fingerprint Scanner and other Premium Specs

Huawei is likely to introduce the Honor 7 when it holds a press event on June 8th, the device has already passed through TENAA (China's body for passing products) and revealed itself to be packing a fingerprint scanner. The certification also came with a photo, as is the norm for TENAA it is low quality, but oh well.

Samsung's Galaxy J5 and J7 have long been rumoured to be joining the Galaxy J1 in the company?s latest budget range. The devices are close to being launched having already passed China's Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center (TENAA). As well as several leaked images a few weeks back, it now seems that the humble handsets will also be rocking Samsung's latest TouchWiz UX.

Huawei Unveils TalkBand B2 for United States

As well as launching the P8 Lite smartphone in the United States today, Huawei also launched its fitness tracker come hands free kit, the TalkBand B2. The Chinese company has made an awful lot of changes (read improvements) to its wearable too, but it retains its quirky take on this particular market. By that we mean that the device can still be detached from the wrist and turned into a headset for voice calls.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge on Course for 50 Million Sales

There are plenty of contrasting reports surrounding sales of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Some researchers think the handset is underperforming so far, while Samsung says everything fine and the device is pushing after a poor 2014. New data from analytics firm Counterpoint Research suggests that Sammy may indeed be right, although until hard data continues to trickle in month on month we would take it with a pinch of salt.

ASUS Debuts ZenFone Selfie

OnePlus says OnePlus Two NOT Arriving Tomorrow (June 1st)

Well, we are pretty disappointed with this news. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed that the company?s cryptic teaser last week, the one that the tech community assumed meant the OnePlus Two would be launched June 1st (Monday), was nothing of the sort. We wrote last week how the company was planning to unleash its new device, but would not be launching the handset until later in the year. Pei said the OnePlus Two would not launch in June at all, although he did confirm that the handset would land in the third quarter of this year.

Rogers Updating Moto G LTE to Android 5.1 in June

Canadian carrier Rogers is going to be sending out the Android 5.1 Lollipop software for its version of the Moto G LTE during June. The information showed up on a list of the company's upcoming updates (also revealing the original Moto X will get Android 5.0.2 during June too) making the handset skip directly past Android 5.0 to 5.1.

Since BlackBerry fell into trouble a couple of years ago, it has often been widely mooted that the company would stop making smartphones. Despite sales declining to a standstill, the Canadian giant has kept releasing new handsets. CEO John Chen was brought in to steady the company, something he achieved, and he sat down with Maria Bartiromo for USA Today and explained why BlackBerry is still in the business of making smartphones.
